About the role

The most important thing in this role is outstanding customer service. We strive for 100 percent customer satisfaction on every job. Repair and install garage doors and openers at homes across the Austin area. You will diagnose problems, explain the options to the homeowner, confirm the price before starting, and complete the work safely.

Responsibilities

• Diagnose and repair garage doors: springs, cables, rollers, tracks, panels and safety sensors
• Repair and install garage door openers and set up remotes, keypads and smart features
• Install new residential garage doors
• Explain what failed and the options clearly, and confirm the price with the customer before work starts
• Balance and safety test every door before leaving
• Keep the service vehicle, tools and stock organized

Requirements

• Valid driver’s license
• Comfortable working on ladders, lifting door sections and working in garages in Texas heat
• Clear, friendly communication with customers in their homes
• Mechanical ability and care with tools
• Garage door experience is welcome but not required; we train people who want to learn the trade
